Steer with A and D. Hold W to accelerate and S to brake. Manual mode uses Left Shift for the clutch; the up and down arrow keys change gears immediately. Release the clutch in gear to crawl without throttle. Grenades unlock ten seconds after the race starts. Hold Space to charge, then release to launch from the bonnet. Direction and vehicle speed shape its path; longer charges fly faster and farther. It detonates on first contact and affects a rival only on a direct car hit. Use the Item button for NOS, horn, shield, and repair pickups. Hold Right Shift to spend Chaos charge on boost. On a touch screen a steering pad appears in the bottom-left corner and follows your thumb wherever it lands, with the go and brake buttons in the bottom-right corner; the Steer left and Steer right buttons stay available to assistive technology. The Pause button pauses a single-player run. After a collision, Space restarts the run. Press Escape to return to the start screen.
